Meet the Doctors

Dr. Mark Nevid was born in Brooklyn, NY. He received a Bachelors Degree in Biology from SUNY at Binghamton and graduated with a DDS from University of Maryland Dental School in 1987. He Immediately opened his practice in Pawling New York where he has been for the last 25 years.

Dr. Nevid enjoys furthering his studies by attending continuing education seminars so that he can bring the latest dental advances to his patients. He is very proud of his solid reputation for being a caring, gentle family dentist and offering quality dentistry at an affordable price.

Dr. Nevid is happily married to Wendy and they have two children, two dogs and a cat. Dr Nevid is a big sports fan and enjoys tennis, music and travel

Dr. Arthur Cosden was born in the Bronx, N.Y. He grew up in Yonkers, NY graduating from Roosevelt H.S. He spent some time in the business world before graduating Summa Cum Laude from Long Island University in 1972. He then attended N.Y.U. college of Dentristry graduating in 1977. He completed a residency in the US Airforce in 1979 at Eglin AFB. He started private practice in 1979 in Nanuet, NY. He then purchased his own practice in Brewster, NY in 1981. After owning his own practice for 32 years, he joined Dr Mark Nevid in Pawling. Dr Cosden is married with 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. He enjoys family practice treating patients of all generations. He also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren. He continues his dental education through continuing education courses.

Dr. Nava Mootabar, a general dentist, attended dental school at New York University College of Dentistry, where she received her DDS in 2001. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Postdoctoral Residency Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital /Columbia University of Dental Surgery in 2003. After completing her residency she practiced general dentistry in Manhattan until she moved to Westchester.

Dr. Mootabar has been practicing family general dentistry in the Dutchess/Putnam/Northern Westchester area for the past 12 years. She is an active member in the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and Ninth District Dental Association. She regularly attends continuing education courses to stay current with new techniques, materials and technology. She is passionate about delivering quality care in all aspects of dentistry with her known “gentle touch” to all of her adult and pediatric patients.

When Dr. Mootabar is not in the office, she enjoys spending quality time with her kids. She currently resides in Greenwich, CT with her husband, Dr. Navid Mootabar, whose an OB-GYN in Northern Westchester, and her four children.

Dr. Adams was born and raised in Massachusetts. He received his degree from NYU College of Dentistry
